RTA Smart Taxi App Reviews

I love Smart Taxi which is a great way to get a taxi in Dubaï. By sending your exact location and displaying taxi position, it competes with other services. Unfortunately, in the past few days, the app broke again. The app times out, doesnt confirm taxi has been allocated and doesnt display its location. Hopefully some drivers call to confirm theyre coming but this is not the way app has been designed or is intended to work.

Why do i need to pay more to book a taxi to pick up me? Its not fair, please change the rules and using the app need to be the same price as the street taxis.

This app is really Good. It Takes only fiew minutes until THe Taxi is there, you can also follow THe Taxi on THe Map. I recommend this App for Residence and also for tourists. Good Job

Only worked 1 out of 10 times... Either the app cant communicate with the server or no taxi available. Still lots of improvement required.

Registration & email activation process is not working so cant even use the app.

App starts but can never log in because server is unavailable.

Usually application have a error: "...was an error communicating with the SmarTaxi server. Please try again later.."

When I used this application on my iPhone 4, everything was OK. When Im trying to use it on my iPhone 6, it doesnt work properly a lot of bugs. Please fix them.

Often do not localize correctly. When signing in often crash as has problem connecting the server. I have the impression that most of the driver dont know how to use the system on board of the car as often call to require more information. Often if you cancel a ride the taxi dont receive the cancellation (and the driver start calling and calling). On top doesnt allow to change your mobile number in case you need. Not good.

Dont waste your time.. App goes into endless search mode..

And just as most things here, its done half way with no thought, inefficient and useless.

Says incorrect password no matter what you do- even if you successfully change or update your password, log out, restart, etc...

The password dosnt work what ever you use not accepting at all .

I thought this app would show a great promise in improving taxi service in Dubai but this app isnt well made at all. Cant change my address, too slow. PRETTY USELESS

Very poorly designed app. The graphics are not optimized for the retina display on the iPhone and look very amateurish. Very poor functionality also. I will keep booking my taxi by calling the RTA directly.

Horribly slow app. Takes forever to login and even then the user interference is cumbersome to work with.

This is a perfect example of what happens when you hire people who know nothing about their job and you ask them to supervise other people who know even less about their job. I wouldnt even use this as an app to sell a minimum viable product. Dubais smart city initiatives really needs to wake up. All talk, loads of money spent on people who have no clue.

RTA started marketing this since GITEX 2013 and we all were looking forward to such a useful app, only to discover when it get released that is so disfunctioning to agree that makes it close to being useless...I have tried to use it several times and it never works...RTA please go and learn from Ubar and Careem how to develop such apps.

Honestly it never works and I always waste time. A 6 year old could pull off a better app than this

Poor app as all of RTA solutions ... Do nothing but a space of mobile storage !!!!
